Freddie Flintoff to reveal details of life-changing Top Gear crash in new Disney+ documentary
Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff is set to open up in a revealing documentary about his life-altering car crash. The 46 year old former England cricket star, who sustained serious injuries during the incident, was involved in a severe accident while filming for Top Gear at Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey in 2022.
Flintoff was rushed to hospital with grave injuries after his Morgan Super 3 trike overturned on the test track, resulting in broken ribs and significant facial trauma.
Since the crash, Flintoff has kept a low profile, undergoing a rigorous recovery process that included several facial surgeries. In the aftermath, the BBC made the decision to axe Top Gear.

Disney+ has released information about the as-yet-untitled project, which "will look back at Flintoff's incredible life and cricketing career that saw him win two Ashes series with England and become a national sporting hero, whilst charting his life today and return to cricket following his life-altering car crash in 2022", reports the Liverpool Echo.
Acclaimed director John Dower is steering a new feature-length programme that offers "exclusive access to Freddie over the last year to film his recovery and document his cricketing career". The Mirror has sought comment from Freddie's representative.
Earlier in the year, the Preston-born father-of-four shared details about the serious injuries he suffered during the BBC's Field of Dreams On Tour series, which experienced delays due to his accident. He candidly discussed his battle with anxiety following the incident.
