Manchester United fans want three changes from the side that lined up against Newcastle on Sunday for Wednesday’s clash with Brentford.

Erik ten Hag has told his squad that he is looking for more determination and communication against the Bees as United tries to enact revenge on August’s 4-0 defeat at the Gtech Community Stadium.

The players held a crunch meeting after full-time at St James’ Park at the weekend following their 2-0 loss. The team looked disjointed and uninspired amid the absence of Casemiro, who will sit out the third match of this four-game suspension against Brentford.

Christian Eriksen will play no part in the clash against his former club despite returning to training this week in his recovery from an ankle injury sustained in January. However, Aaron Wan-Bissaka may come back into the fold after missing the trip to Newcastle due to illness.

Reds fans are hoping he is well enough for Wednesday’s game as they have selected him to start ahead of Diogo Dalot against Brentford. They have kept the rest of the back line the same with Raphael Varane partnering Lisandro Martinez in the centre of defence with Luke Shaw completing the guard ahead of David de Gea.

United supporters are calling for Scott McTominay to be chopped and replaced by Fred in midfield alongside Marcel Sabitzer, who keeps his starting spot. Meanwhile, fans wish to see Bruno Fernandes drop into a deeper role after failing to be overly productive in his usual attacking midfield role on Sunday amid the absence of Casemiro.

Top scorer Marcus Rashford retains his place on the left wing with Antony - yet to score in the Premier League since October - starting again on the right. However, supporters
