Frank Warren gives fans hope that we could see Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury after all

Frank Warren has confirmed that he’s still interested in the possibility of booking Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury in the future.

Back in December, Jake Paul and Tommy Fury were scheduled to collide down in Tampa with both men putting their unbeaten pro boxing records on the line. Alas, an injury to Fury just a few weeks out from fight night led to Tyron Woodley stepping in as a late replacement, with ‘The Problem Child’ knocking the former UFC welterweight champion out cold.

Fury has since been back in the squared circle whereas Paul is sitting it out, waiting to see what the state of play looks like as we head into a busy summer.

Now, in a recent interview with iFL TV, Tommy’s promoter Frank Warren has reiterated his desire to try and get the bout rebooked.

“We have got a couple of things we are working on at the moment, we have got to announce something soon because he has itchy feet,” Warren said. “He wants to get out there he wants to be out in the next few months so we will work something out.

“I still want to do the fight with Jake and I would still like to get that on. It is still realistic from our end but who knows from their end, but of course we would like to see that happen. There was a few discussions initially but we will see what happens.”

The enigma that is Jake Paul tends to keep his cards close to his chest before actually announcing a fight. He’s made it known that he wants to get back in there in August and if that is indeed the case, we should expect confirmation of a bout sooner rather than later.

Fury is still hoping to prove to many of his critics that he’s not just Tyson’s brother and that he can, in fact, go places with his career as a boxer.
