Frank Warren believes Oleksandr Usyk would lose to Tyson Fury and Joe Joyce

Boxing promoter Frank Warren has explained why Oleksandr Usyk would stand no chance against Tyson Fury and Joe Joyce.

Usyk’s list of potential opponents include Fury and Joyce after winning his rematch with Anthony Joshua at Jeddah’s Superdome in Saudi Arabia last week.

However, Queensberry Promotions chief Warren does not reckon the 35-year-old would come out on top.

Fury holds the WBC heavyweight belt and knocked out mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Joyce is currently set to face former world champion Joseph Parker next month at Manchester Arena.

If he comes through that battle unscathed then he will likely earn a world title shot of his own against Usyk.

And Warren believes both men would beat Usyk because the Ukrainian does not have their physical attributes.

Asked how Fury would go about beating Usyk, he told Sky Sports: “Being Tyson Fury!

“I was watching it and I felt I liked Usyk. I liked what he did, but I feel a real big heavyweight – I’m talking about a heavyweight who has got good whiskers, who’s got good work rate [would beat him].

“Joe, for example, he’s got good work rate, he’s got a very good chin. I think he gives him a lot of problems. And I think Tyson gives him huge problems as well.

“I think they’d be just too big and have too much ammunition for him.”

Warren also confirmed that he recently reached out to Usyk’s promoter Alexander Krassyuk.

He revealed: “There were talks before the [AJ] fight and Tyson had to make his mind up.

“But he’s made his mind up and he wants the fight, Usyk wants the fight and we’ve got to work out a way to make it happen.

“They both know that the fight’s worth a lot
