The fans are going to turn up with their flags and banners for Everton’s remaining fixtures. They know moaning and groaning isn’t helping this team. We don’t want to give the players an excuse. They’ve had every excuse under the sun, they need to step up to the plate.

The fans will be their singing because it’s their livelihood but the players don’t realise that. They think they do but they don’t. We’ve had excuses with injuries and suspensions and all kinds of issues this season but when you step over that white line, you’ve got to give everything. How many times have we said, they have one good result and they think they’re Real Madrid?
