Frank Lampard has already helped Everton to most complete win of season

It certainly felt like Everton’s display in their 3-0 thrashing of Leeds United was a big improvement on what they had produced so far this season but beyond the mere final scoreline there were plenty of other numbers to back up the claims.

The performance from Frank Lampard’s side was impressive at both ends of the pitch with Everton producing a strong all-round showing that was potent in attack while also solid at the back.

Statistics compiled by Comparisonator show that the Blues’ 20 shots were the most in the Premier League that weekend, way ahead of joint second Leicester City and Southampton who had 13 apiece, drawing 2-2 with West Ham United and 1-1 with Manchester United respectively.

It was a huge improvement on Everton’s average number of 11.91 which ranks at ninth in the division.

Half of these shots (10) were also on target, again the best in the Premier League, ahead of Manchester United (7) and Burnley (5).

In this category, the Blues ranked 12 th in the division across the season with 4.32 per game.

The variety of Everton’s attack was also demonstrating by them being the only team over the weekend to get two headed shots – both goals – while they were also the only team to score three goals.

Lampard’s players also showed a strong team ethic which was demonstrated by their huge dominance of the shot assists category, leading the division with 13, more than twice as many as next best Liverpool, Brentford and Manchester United, all on six with the Blues’ own seasonal average 6.18 which ranks them at eight.
