France hit by drought: Farmers bear the brunt
France has had an exceptionally dry winter, followed by a springtime heatwave, leaving much of the country's water table unable to replenish. We hear from farmers and locals facing the effects of drought.
Meanwhile, some local authorities have created their own mass reservoirs to ensure a supply of water for crops. But this system is controversial.
