Four things that will 'definitely' happen on Chelsea's January transfer deadline day

The Premier League January transfer slams shut at 11pm tomorrow, and it's time I give you an early heads up as to what will happen.

Before the window opened on the January 1st, the main cause of concern was the left wing-back role with Ben Chilwell needing surgery, resulting in him missing the rest of the 2021/22 season. After 30 days of rumours, the Blues have been linked with a host of players from Lucas Digne, Sergino Dest and Borna Sosa to recalling Emerson from his season-long loan at Lyon.

We are on day 30 of the window and while Kenedy did return from his loan, no concrete moves have happened in terms of the first team, but the academy has managed to sign 18-year-old left-back Dylan Williams from Derby.

We all know it will happen. Chelsea will be linked with a new name on deadline day that will take us all by surprise as the club hunt to try and sort out an area of desperate need of repairing.

Due to Chilwell's injury, Marcos Alonso got a good run in the side, but he has lost his place to more suited left centre-back cover Malang Sarr in the huge match against London rivals Tottenham.

This could be a good option for Tuchel moving forward this season, but I'm sure everyone would rather sign a player that would give his side a more attacking threat.

Whoever this player is, we will likely try and convince ourselves it is worth a shot for a four-month loan spell to get us through the season.

Someone will spend their time tracking plane flights from Barcelona to London.

We all know that Ousmane Dembele is looking to exit pretty sharpish with Barcelona, letting everyone know they are pushing to sell him before the window shuts.

I have no doubts someone will spend their Monday searching for private jets leaving Barcelona
