Four things spotted from Everton training as Abdoulaye Doucoure and on-loan star return

Everton are hoping to put a poor result last time out firmly behind them when they take on Manchester City at Goodison Park on Saturday.

The Blues have won each of their two home matches under Frank Lampard's leadership so far, beating Brentford 4-1 in the FA Cup before brushing Leeds United side with a 3-0 victory in the Premier League.

However, away form has not been as strong - typified by a 2-0 defeat to Southampton last weekend.

Everton face a tough task in getting back to form on Saturday, though, as they come up against Pep Guardiola's champions at Goodison.

The Blues have released their latest set of images from Finch Farm, and there are a number of interesting points that can be made from the pictures.

The first thing to notice is that it seems Abdoulaye Doucoure is back in full training with the rest of his teammates.

Ahead of the game against Southampton last weekend, the midfielder returned to individual sessions having suffered a groin injury against Aston Villa last month.

It seems that his recovery has now gone to the next step, though.

Doucoure can be seen getting involved in drills with the rest of his teammates as they prepare for the visit of Man City to Goodison on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Ben Godfrey has also been pictured at Finch Farm as he continues to make his way back from his own injury problem - having been substituted in the first half of the win over Brentford at the beginning of the month.

However, the centre-back doesn't seem to be taking part in sessions with the rest of the squad as of yet, with the only pictures of the defender showing him individually.

It's yet to be seen what the condition of the pair might be ahead of this weekend's game, with Lampard set to face the media on Friday
