Four rushed to hospital after crash as car left crushed and emergency services close road
Four people were rushed to hospital after a two-car smash in Crumpsall on Wednesday night (March 20). Police, fire crews and paramedics descended on Crescent Road at around 8pm after the collision.
A number of emergency services vehicles blocked the street before it was cordoned off by police. Two cars were involved, with four people assessed at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital.
The road remained closed for a number of hours into Wednesday night, before the vehicles were recovered from the scene. One black car was seen with a crushed bonnet as it was transported away.

Further details surrounding the incident have not yet been confirmed. Greater Manchester Police have been approached for a comment.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At just after 8pm this evening (Wednesday 20 March), fire crews were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Crescent Road in Manchester.
“Two fire engines from Manchester Central and Phillips Park and the technical response unit from Ashton-Under-Lyne, quickly attended the incident which involved two vehicles.
“Crews assessed four casualties at the scene before being conveyed to hospital by North West Ambulance Service. Crews worked with Greater Manchester Police to make the area safe before departing after approximately thirty minutes at the scene.”
