Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels map revealed

The gaming community have been given an early look at the map for Hot Wheels, the upcoming expansion for Forza Horizon 5.

The return to Hot Wheels in Forza Horizon 5’s first expansion sparked curiosity as to how this would fit into the open world of the modern racing game.

Because Forza Horizon 5 takes place in Mexico, it would seem odd to build Hot Wheels tracks around Guanajuato City.

However, having revealed the map for the Hot Wheels expansion, Playground confirmed that players will soon leave Mexico for something a little more fantastic.

Since Forza and Hot Wheels have previously collaborated, this collaboration isn’t entirely unexpected. But now that an overworld map of Forza Horizon 5 has been revealed it seems that this expansion will take things to an entirely new level.

Fans of the game were given a top-down glimpse of the Hot Wheels-themed map via the official Forza Horizon Twitter account.

According to the map released, it consists of three biomes, each of which is linked together with orange tracks that are from Hot Wheels, making it seem as if the expansion map is floating in the air.  

Speaking of the iconic orange track, the standard Hot Wheels circuit is layered over and through all of this, with some areas of blue as well.
