Fortnite Update 20.40: Everything We Know So Far

With Fortnite Update 20.30 now behind us, many are looking forward to Fortnite Update 20.40 and what it will contain for both the game and the players.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 recently got its third major update which saw the destruction of Tilted Towers POI and the unvaulting of Choopas in the game. 

New updates always bring unique and additional content to the game and the developers have been pretty regular with updates, adding new quests, content and more.

With Fortnite Update 20.40 being the next major update lined up for Chapter 3 Season 2, here’s everything known about the upcoming update.

Usually, Epic Games releases updates every two weeks or so and most updates arrive on Tuesday. The last update went live on 3rd May, so we can expect the next update in a couple of weeks.

Epic Games posted via their Fortnite Status Twitter account and this post hinted that Fortnite Update 20.40 update is expected to release on Tuesday 17th May 2022.

As already mentioned above, Fortnite Update 20.40 is yet to release, therefore, eager fans will have to wait a while until they get to see the full patch notes.

While the next update is still a couple of weeks away, there are a few things currently known to be arriving with the update. As per a tweet by Fortnite Status, the developers will be removing IO vehicles with the Fortnite Update 20.40, meaning we might get to see some new story development.
