Former world champion Carl Froch slams KSI vs Tommy Fury fight and gives his prediction

Carl Froch has praised Tommy Fury but criticised the quality of his opponent, KSI, ahead of their fight in Manchester this weekend.

The former middleweight world champion has said that the fight should not be called ‘boxing’, raising concerns about the exhibition bout ahead of the contest this weekend. Fury has forged a 10-0 professional record but now faces another exhibition bout on the Misfits card this weekend at the AO Arena.

The fight against KSI will be broadcast live on DAZN as part of a PPV event which also includes Logan Paul vs Dillon Danis. It will be a huge contest between two big names, but for KSI it will be a considerably bigger challenge than he has faced so far in his career.

KSI takes on Tommy Fury at the AO Arena in Manchester on Saturday, October 14th as he hopes to cause an upset. Logan Paul will also be fighting at the event in front of what is expected to be a sell-out crowd.

Despite the contest being an intriguing one, Froch has been a critic of such events, speaking out about the credibility of the fight. He told Best Gambling Sites: “Tommy Fury and KSI should not be called boxing. For me, this isn't professional boxing. KSI isn't a pro-fighter and this should be called a night of play fighting, not professional boxing.

“But Tommy Fury better f****** win because even though this is play fighting, he’s representing pro boxing. He still should have way more than enough to beat KSI, like he did against Jake Paul. He’ll beat KSI as a professional fighter should.”
