Former Tipp hurler Paul Kelly lands Dublin camogie job

Dublin have appointed Paul Kelly as their new camogie manager on a three-year term.

Kelly, from Tipperary, won All-Ireland titles as a player in 2001 and 2010.

He claimed All-Star awards in 2002 and 2005.

Kelly had a successful spell managing Mullinahone in women's football and has also experience in hurling.

Gerry McQuaid and Micky McCullagh will form part of his backroom team.

McQuaid was coach to the three in-a-row All Ireland winning teams in Wexford beginning in 2010.

McCullough worked as coach with Ballyboden St Endas senior hurling team and for a time as part of Mattie Kenny’s ticket in the capital, while he also had a spell with Angela Downey's Kilkenny senior side.

Dublin chairman Karl O'Brien stated: "Dublin Camogie are delighted to announce Paul Kelly as our new senior manager.

"Paul and his management team come to Dublin with a wealth of experience having played and managed at top level. We wish Paul, his management team and players the very best for the upcoming season"

Meanwhile in football Maxi Curran has opted to stay on as Donegal manager, taking up his option of second year.
