Former Sporting Lisbon star makes admission about Cristiano Ronaldo's love for cars

Former AC Milan and Sporting Lisbon striker Vitali Kutuzov has revealed that Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo once purchased a car before he had even learned how to drive.

Kutuzov, who retired from football back in 2012, spent one season playing alongside Ronaldo at Sporting. He spent the 2002/03 campaign in Portugal, which, of course, marked the Portuguese international's one and only season at senior level at the club, before joining United.

Having since gone on to become one of the greatest footballers of all time, fame and expensive luxuries have not been in short supply for Ronaldo, so much so that he reportedly owns a range of cars that have an overall value of £17million. His collection, according to reports, features a very rare Bugatti Centodieci and a new Aston Martin DBS Superleggra.

His love for cars started before he had even passed his driving test, however. Kutuzov, who was on loan at Sporting from AC Milan at the time of Ronaldo's breakthrough season, has admitted that the United ace bought a Mercedes and he didn't even know how to drive it.

Kutuzov told Gianluca di Marzio: "We were in the team together for only one year, but it was often him and I... on many occasions, we also shared a room. I remember when he got his first car, a Mercedes that he didn't even know [how to] drive.

"But his satisfaction of arriving at the field with a car that he bought was incredible. But his satisfaction of arriving at the field with a car that he bought was incredible."

The new Aston Martin DBS Superleggra is believed to be the newest addition to Ronaldo's ever-growing collection. Alongside the Aston, the United striker also owns a Bentley
