Former Manchester United winger Daniel James explains how he is 'learning' from Marcelo Bielsa

Former Manchester United winger Daniel James has emphasised just how much he is "learning" from working under Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa.

The Welshman, who left Old Trafford back in August to join Leeds in a £25million deal, made the admission after scoring twice in the Whites' pulsating 3-3 draw with Aston Villa at Villa Park on Wednesday evening.

After giving Bielsa's side a ninth-minute lead, James netted his second of the night to pull a goal back for the visitors right on the stroke of half-time, making it 3-2, after Villa had raced into a 3-1 lead, inspired by Jacob Ramsey and Philippe Coutinho.

Currently being deployed as an out-and-out striker, James has revealed that he is beginning to thrive under Bielsa's methods, outlining how much he is benefiting from his management.

"I got two today but I have got to keep pushing and keep making them runs.

"We've obviously had injuries in the team and it might not be my preferred position, but I really enjoy playing there.

"I'm learning everyday under him."

Recently, James also hailed the impact Bielsa's training sessions were having on him, hinting that they are much more impressive than what he experienced under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Carrington.

"The detail is second to none,"
