Former Manchester United striker sends warning to Rasmus Hojlund

Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha believes Rasmus Hojlund needs to 'do more' to increase his attacking output.

The striker, who has been forced to withdraw from the Denmark squad ahead of their clashes with Slovenia and Northern Ireland through injury, has scored five goals since joining United in the summer transfer window. Saturday's 1-0 win over Luton Town marked his ninth Premier League appearance without scoring.

All of his first five goals in United colours have been scored in the Champions League, including last week's double against FC Copenhagen. He is the joint-top goalscorer in Europe's premier club competition so far this term.

Despite that success story, Hojlund's ongoing search for his first Premier League goal is generating slight concerns among United fans. A lot of the blame, however, has been pointed in the direction of the Reds' wingers, who have struggled to create chances for the 20-year-old.

Though Saha, who spent four years at United, acknowledges Hojlund needs a better level of service from his teammates, he insists the former Atalanta striker can help himself and boost his chances of adding to his tally.

"He has to do more because this is the nature of his position," Saha told Betfred. "You can always do more.

"You need to find your own solution because it's not about other players. It's not all about Rasmus receiving good service because he also has to work defenders, chase the ball and remain calm in his position.
