Ruud van Nistelrooy insists PSV Eindhoven will remain in his heart after resigning from the role of head coach at the Dutch giants earlier this week.
The Dutchman's sudden departure was confirmed on Wednesday, citing a lack of support within the club for his decision to quit before the season was over.
He left PSV second in the Eredivisie and four points behind league champions Feyenoord with just one game to play. Van Nistelrooy had worked in multiple roles at the club over the last decade, including coaching their under-17 and under-19 sides.
And after a few days of reflection, the former United man took to Instagram to share his gratitude and thank fans of the Dutch side.
