Former Manchester United star Nani reunited with Sir Alex Ferguson at Barcelona clash

Former Manchester United attacker Nani was reunited with his ex-Reds boss Sir Alex Ferguson on Thursday night, with the pair both in attendance for the clash with Barcelona.

The Reds drew 2-2 with Xavi's side at the Camp Nou in the first leg of their playoff tie, thanks to a Marcus Rashford strike and an own goal from French defender Jules Kounde. It was the home side who took the lead through former Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso, but Rashford levelled proceedings just two minutes later.

Erik ten Hag's side went 2-1 up when Kounde deflected the ball into his own goal, but the La Liga leaders responded well and got back in the tie courtesy of ex-Leeds United man Raphinha. Neither side were able to go on and find a winner, although both teams were frustrated with the officials on the night.

Given the magnitude of the game between United and Barcelona, it came as little surprise to see so many famous faces in the crowd at the Camp Nou. Legendary manager Ferguson was pictured with former Reds attacker Nani, along with United's former chief executive David Gill.

Nani - who posted the images on Twitter - also posed for a photo with Brazil legend Ronaldinho and ex-Barcelona striker Patrick Kluivert.

"Special night at the Camp Nou with my Man United family and friends," wrote Nani, who now plays for Melbourne Victory in Australia.

The Portuguese winger made 216 appearances under Sir Alex at United, registering 41 goals and 71 assists while playing for the Scotsman. Nani won four Premier League titles, two League Cups and the Champions League during his time at Old Trafford.
