Former Leeds United target Ryan Kent told what is needed to take him to next level

Former Rangers forward Kenny Miller has claimed that long-standing Leeds United target Ryan Kent wouldn’t be at Ibrox if he scored more goals.

Kent scored just three times for Rangers last term – his lowest figure in a single season in Scotland. The 25-year-old still provided 20 assists across all competitions last term but Miller insists that his goal record is holding him back from a move away from Rangers.

“His level of assists were very, very good last season,” Miller “If he were to add goals to his game, then I probably think he wouldn’t be at Rangers.

“He has all the attributes because some of the things he does is really, really eye-catching. He’s at an age where if there is one area Ryan Kent can improve on, then it can be that. He’s a top performer but adding goals will take him to another level.”

Kent has to Elland Road, although rumours have been less forthcoming this summer. He has also just moved into the last year of his contract with Rangers.

He initially joined Rangers from Liverpool on a season-long loan in June 2018 but signed permanently the following summer. Kent has lifted the Scottish Premier League and Scottish Cup with the Gers and has scored 30 goals and provided 48 assists in 174 matches in all competitions.
