Former Hull FC star Albert Kelly under investigation over alleged fight with Brisbane Broncos team-mate

An incident involving former Hull FC halfback Albert Kelly is being investigated by the NRL Integrity Unit after video footage showed an 'alleged brawl' between Kelly and team-mate Payne Haas.

Kelly, who has had a career packed with incidents, appears to be seen in the video footage during a heated exchange with his Broncos associate. The 13-second clip, which has found its way onto social media, shows the two together and Haas appears to slap Kelly at one point.

The Sydney Morning Herald's Michael Chammas claims the video is now being investigated. Kelly spent six seasons in Super League, first with Hull KR and then Hull FC. He departed at the end of 2020 to return to Australia and secured a contract with the Broncos.

However, he suffered a nasty-looking injury on Saturday in their defeat to New Zealand Warriors, with the initial prognosis being that he could be set for several months on the sidelines with an Achilles injury.

The Broncos have yet to comment on the alleged incident.
