Former Cheetahs lock and coach Rory Duncan has been appointed as the new CEO of the Bloemfontein franchise.

He replaces Ross van Reenen, who completed his three-year stint in November 2024.

Duncan, 47, represented the Cheetahs as a player from 2006-2008 and he also played for the Sharks, EP Kings and Yamaha Jubilo in Japan.

He coached the Cheetahs from 2014-2018 and was at the helm during their first PRO14 season in 2017/18. He also coached Worcester Warriors in England from 2018-2020.
