Former Brooklyn Nets star signs with new team
When the regular season begins, there are just a little more than 500 players signed to contracts, and the NBA welcomes dozens of rookies each year. So, after being forced out of the Association, where do players go?
One player, Markel Brown, who played a minor part with the Nets the past two seasons, has recently joined a new squad.
Brown has played in 109 games and has a 5.3 point and 2.0 rebound scoring average. Brown was an unrestricted free agent but was unable to sign a guaranteed contract as he declined his player option for the 2016–17 season.
He eventually settled from a Cavaliers training camp contract and attempted to compete for the 15th roster berth.
