Forgotten Manchester United midfielder could secure exit and more transfer rumours

Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are both competing to sign Donny van de Beek in the final days of their transfer window, according to reports.

The midfielder has been told he can leave by Manchester United and is not part of Erik ten Hag's plans. Real Sociedad had shown an interest earlier in the window but a move didn't materialise.

That's left Van de Beek with very few options with most windows in Europe now closing. However, there could still be a way for him to secure first-team football.

The Turkish transfer window doesn't shut until September 15 and Football Insider report that two of their biggest clubs want Van de Beek. They have less than a week to strike a deal with United if they wish to do so.

Elsewhere, Fulham could reignite a push to sign Scott McTominay when the January transfer window opens. That's if Joao Palhinha joins Bayern Munich.

The Portuguese midfielder looked destined to join the German champions on transfer deadline day but a deal collapsed. The Cottagers didn't want to lose Palhinha and couldn't find a replacement.

According to Fichajes, Fulham will go back for McTominay if Bayern return for their star man. United considered selling the 26-year-old in the summer but decided against it.
