Rohan Janse van Rensburg will start at inside centre for the Sharks when they tackle the Stormers in a pre-season friendly at Grey High School's Kolisi Field on Friday.
Janse van Rensburg recently joined the Sharks from English club Sale Sharks. The 27-year-old first made a name for himself at the Lions and played a solitary Test for the Springboks against Wales in Cardiff back in 2016.
After a loan spell at Sale in 2017, he joined the Manchester-based outfit on a permanent basis in 2018 but was seemingly never in Bok contention again.
Ben Tapuai starts at outside centre as Sharks coach Sean Everitt made a number of changes to the team that edged the Lions 45-43 at Ellis Park last weekend.
Yaw Penxe moves to left wing, with Werner Kok getting an opportunity at right wing.
There is also a change in the loose trio, with Sikhumbuzo Notshe taking over the No 8 jersey from Phendulani Buthelezi. At lock, Justin Basson will partner Reniel Hugo.
The Durbanites will also have new starting props in the form of Thomas du Toit and Ntuthuko Mchunu.
Friday's clash in Gqeberha kicks off at 14:00.
