Forget Sanchez: £15.3m-rated Spurs lightweight who won 50% duels badly let Conte down - opinion

Tottenham Hotspur suffered their second league defeat of the season under Antonio Conte after they were beaten by Southampton on Wednesday evening.

The north London outfit threw away a 2-1 lead with ten minutes to go in what has to be considered a late capitulation to inflict back-to-back defeats on the Italian head coach.

Heung-min Son’s 70th-minute strike looked to have sealed all three points for Spurs after Armando Broja had equalised soon after the opener in the first half. But headers from Mo Elyounoussi and Che Adams completed a stunning Saints comeback.

He also committed one error that led to a shot, as per SofaScore, who also graded him as Conte’s worst-performer on the night.
