Footage appears to show Ronaldo Nazario playing five-a-side - it's so good it's going viral

Ronaldo Nazario is still one of the greatest strikers football has ever seen.

Before the Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo duopoly, the Brazilian No.9 was considered the greatest in the world.

He claimed the Ballon d’Or in 1997 and 2002 and, during those five years, was the biggest name in the sport.

During his sole season at Barcelona in the 1996/97 campaign, he scored 47 goals in 49 appearances in all competitions.

That earned him a move to Inter Milan where, despite injury problems, he bagged 59 goals in 99 games.

Real Madrid signed him for €46 million in 2002 and Ronaldo would go on to score 104 goals for the Spanish giants in just 177 matches.

Meanwhile, for Brazil, Ronaldo scored 62 goals in 98 matches helping them win the World Cup in 1994 and 2002.

Unfortunately, knee issues curtailed his career and prevented him from reaching the very top of his potential. Despite that, he’s still one of the greatest players ever.

Recently, a clip of what appears to be Ronaldo playing five-a-side football was posted on social media – and it’s going viral.

A player who looks like Ronaldo scores a quite brilliant goal and fans are in doubt it’s the man himself.

In the clip, it shows him embarrassing a defender with a series of trademark stepovers. The goalkeeper prevents him from taking it around him as he loved to do during his playing days. However, after recovering the ball, he faced up the same defender before producing a flip-flap, some quick feet and then smashed the ball into the top corner.

How can he still do this? pic.twitter.com/pDLXjasZE2

You don’t lose it.

Check out the reaction from football fans who were loving seeing Ronaldo – if it is him – scoring goals again:

Now, at 45, Ronaldo owns and is President of Real
