Folkestone Invicta manager Andy Drury on midfielder Scott Heard’s first foal of the season in 2-0 Isthmian Premier victory at Enfield Town

Scott Heard’s first Folkestone goal this season came after discussions over his lack of contributions at the top-end of the pitch, manager Andy Drury revealed.

Midfielder Heard had remarkably not scored a goal for Isthmian Premier Invicta in their 2023/24 campaign until last weekend.

But he doubled Folkestone’s tally midway through the first half in their impressive 2-0 victory at promotion-chasing Enfield Town after Tom Derry had broken the deadlock.

And Drury hopes Heard can begin contributing regularly before the end of the campaign.

He said: “If we get another six or seven out of Heardy this season, that’s a decent return.
