Foden, Mount, Rice, Bellingham: England's insane U23 squad depth

England are currently one of the best international football teams on the planet.

Gareth Southgate’s side reached their first World Cup semi-final for 28 long years back in 2018 and they’re now a far more formidable outfit going into the upcoming edition of the tournament.

The Three Lions possess high-quality options in virtually every area of the pitch, especially in the right-back department.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Reece James and Kyle Walker – arguably the three best in the position in the world right now – will be competing for a starting berth at the 2022 World Cup. Not a bad selection headache to have, eh?

What makes it even better from an England perspective is that Alexander-Arnold and James are aged 23 or below, meaning they’ll be available to select for many years to come.
