One year ago in Brazil, thousands of backers of former president Jair Bolsonaro stormed the presidential palace, Congress and the Supreme Court buildings, in what many still see as an attempted coup. The protesters were angry over the victory of Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, their move mimicking the 2021 pro-Trump insurrection in the US.
