Floyd Mayweather's exhibition bout vs YouTuber is off after talks collapse

Floyd Mayweather‘s comeback fight against YouTuber ‘Money Kicks’ is OFF, according to reports.

The exhibition bout had been expected to take place atop the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai on February 20.

But talks have broken down between the two camps and both boxers will now look for alternative opponents for their next fight.

The Mirror was first to report the news that the fight had been cancelled, but an official statement has not yet been made by Mayweather, or his manager Leonard Ellerbe.

It is understood that Mayweather still hopes to take part in an exhibition bout on that same date but he is arguably running out of time as the search for a late replacement continues with just over a week to go until the event itself.

The 44-year-old had previously told reporters that he plans to do a ‘limited edition boxing showcase’ in the United Arab Emirates to ‘put on a show and display my talent for the people in the Middle East’.

Speaking at a press conference, he said: “It’s always been a goal of mine to come to the UAE and put on a show and display my talent for the people in the Middle East.’

“We may do more than one fight, we wanna give the people some entertainment.

“I don’t like to call what I’m doing a fight, I like to call it a limited edition boxing showcase. it’s bigger than just boxing.”

Money Kicks’ real name is Rashed Belhasa and he currently lives in Dubai.

The 20-year-old YouTube star boasts over 3.2 million subscribers on the channel where he regularly posts videos showing off his extravagant lifestyle including a collection of expensive shoes and fast cars.
