Floyd Mayweather brushes off massive Mikuru Asakura blow before landing superb KO

Floyd Mayweather is one of boxing’s biggest ever stars, winner of 15 world championships across five weight divisions, and boasting an incredible unblemished record of 50-0.

Since knocking MMA star Conor McGregor out in a cross-sport bout in 2017, ‘Money’ has competed in several exhibition bouts, continuing the trend with a knockout victory over MMA star and Youtuber Mikuru Asakura.

Widely considered one of the greatest boxers of all time, and often labelled as ‘the best defensive boxer in history’, Mayweather was pressed with unlikely adversity in the moments preceding the blow that sent his opponent toward the canvas.

Under the glaring lights in the packed Saitama Super Arena in Japan, Asakura’s home country, the opponents gave the fans an entertaining spectacle, with an enjoyable first round bettered by a thrilling second, with Mayweather prevailing mere seconds before the bell.

Impressing with slick striking sequences and a tenacious attitude, Asakura can take solace from the fact he succeeded in even bothering Mayweather, something so many competitors have failed to do.
