Five youngsters Manchester United could use to solve Chelsea squad dilemma

Manchester United are set to give youth a chance when they host Chelsea in the Premier League fixture at Old Trafford on Thursday night. Ralf Rangnick's side head into the match with the faintest hopes of Champions League qualification this season, but know any success will depend on securing all three points this evening.

United head into the match following back-to-back defeats against Liverpool and Arsenal, and their task is made even harder by the early team news, with six first-team players ruled out of the match.

As a result, the squad is down to the bare bones ahead of kick-off and United will have to bolster their options by giving a host of youngsters a chance. MEN Sport takes a look at five teenagers who could be in the squad against Chelsea.

Perhaps the most exciting player in the academy system right now, Alejandro Garnacho has already attracted worldwide attention this year after being named in the Argentina squad for their final World Cup qualifiers last month.

Not many players can say they have trained with both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the same season, though the 17-year-old is just as focused on winning the FA Youth Cup with United next month as he is on first-team commitments.

The former Atletico Madrid youngster has been the star player in United's run to the final of the prestigious youth competition for the first time in 11 years, and it is only a matter of time before he makes his debut for the club.
