Five times Serena Guthrie has shown she's a netball legend as star retires
Serena Guthrie has announced her retirement from international and elite-level netball after revealing she is pregnant with her first child.
The 32-year-old ended an 15-year career which included 110 England caps, three World Cups and two Commonwealth Games.
The mid-courter, who started her international career aged 18, is widely regarded as one of the best netball players of all time.
“It’s been the most amazing ride,” Guthrie posted on Twitter. “Thank you to everyone who has made my journey so special.
“It’s not the end, it’s just the beginning for me. Can’t wait to enter this new chapter of life… the greatest adventures await.”
