Five-star Taskin rocks Proteas and leaves Bangladesh on the cusp of history
Taskin Ahmed's magical five-wicket haul condemned South Africa to their lowest ever total against Bangladesh as the hosts were bundled out for 154 in 37 overs in the third ODI at SuperSport Park on Wednesday.
The total is the lowest South Africa has scored in their 24 ODIs against Bangladesh and gave the visitors the best chance of winning their maiden ODI series on these shores.
Tamim Iqbal's side were full value for their effort while the home team's batting was well and truly ship-wrecked.
South Africa had chosen to bat first in the deciding ODI and it was a decision that wasn't out of place with the conventional wisdom of batting first in day-night games.

What was out of kilter was SA's rather ragged batting effort that saw a solid start from Quinton de Kock (12) and Janneman Malan (39) reach 46/0 in six overs.
That start, however, was flushed away by some injudicious shot-making in the face of good bowling from the visitors.
What the batting performance did was to make SA's ICC World Cup Super League position a precarious one.
They remain ninth on the log with 49 points and unless they deliver a herculean display with the ball, they'll remain there and make their World Cup qualification chances more difficult.
There wasn't a sign of a batting collapse when De Kock picked out Mahmudullah at long-off off Mehidy Hasan Miraz (1/27), but when the hosts tanked to 71/4, the ship was definitely listing.
Kyle Verreynne (9) had chopped on a Taskin (5/35) delivery while Malan feathered one off the bowler to Mushfiqur Rahim.
