Five-star Hoops cruise into FAI Cup semi-finals

Shamrock Rovers eased into the semi-finals of the Sports Direct FAI Women's Cup with a 5-0 win over Cork City at Bishopstown on Sunday afternoon.

The Hoops took the lead with 13 minutes on the clock through Stephanie Zambra and never looked back.

Aine O'Gorman doubled their lead four minutes before half-time, with Cork City being reduced to 10 players on 67 minutes when Jesse Mendez picked up a second yellow card.

Collie O'Neill's team took full advantage of the extra player, with Joy Ralph, O'Gorman and Lauren Kelly tagging on further goals in the last 18 minutes.

They join Sligo Rovers, Shelbourne and Athlone Town in the last four.
