Five Man United players including wonderkid signing drop team news hints ahead of Tottenham clash
Five Manchester United players have hinted they could be starting against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon after an injury nightmare plagued preparations for the game.
On Saturday evening, news broke that Amad had suffered an ankle injury which could force him to miss the remainder of the Premier League season. That was particularly gutting for United fans considering his form this season and the lack of forward options at the club.
On top of that, Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, Toby Collyer, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Mason Mount and Jonny Evans are all set to miss the fixture with varying injury issues. That leaves the squad stretched particularly thin for the clash with Spurs and MEN Sport understands Chido Obi and Jayce Fitzgerald are among the young players travelling with the team for the match.
While the extent of their involvement is unknown, four senior players have hinted on social media that they could be featuring today, alongside another young member of the United squad. All five of the following players posted matchday graphics to their social media channels which historically hints at their involvement in some capacity - whether that be from the bench or the start.
First up is Andre Onana. The Cameroonian has been the first choice in the Premier League this season albeit Altay Bayindir has performed well in the cups, notably during the victory over Arsenal on penalties.
However, it would be no real surprise to see him start today. Next is Diogo Dalot who has become an ever-present for United in recent years.
It will be intriguing to see if he will start on the right or left today particularly with Patrick Dorgu having joined to play on the left flank. That being said, he made his debut on the right
