First-place Einarson improves record to 8-1 at women's curling worlds, beating South Korea
Kerri Einarson's curling team has defeated South Korea 8-3 at the women's world curling championship in Calgary.
Canada improved to 8-1 and was to face Norway later in the day at Winsport Event Centre.
The top six teams at the conclusion of pool play Friday advance to playoffs.
First two gain direct entry into Saturday's semifinals while remaining four battle earlier that day in elimination playoff games.
Medal games are Sunday.
