Fire rips through hotel at world-famous Welsh beauty spot - live updates

A fire has torn through one of the most popular hotels and restaurants on the Gower. Pictures appear to show that the roof of The Worms Head Hotel has collapsed after the overnight fire, with fire crews still at the scene on Monday morning.

The Worm’s Head Hotel is a family run Hotel with stunning views of the world-famous beauty spot Rhossili Bay and the Worm's Head.

The View Rhossili, a bar and restaurant nearby, said: "Heartbreaking scenes from Rhossili this morning following the devastating fire at the Worms Head Hotel last night - a place so deeply rooted in our community.

"Our thoughts are with the owners and staff of this beloved family business during this incredibly difficult time.

"Due to the events of last night, we’ll be starting food service a little later than usual at 11am today, but we are open as normal for coffee, cake, and toast our usual time.

"Please be kind to one another today. Let’s take care of our neighbours."
