Find 30 blossom hotspots in 30 days across the city this April

In spring, nature puts on a dazzling display – and blossom trees are the stars of the show.

Each blossom hotspot gives people the opportunity to notice the fleeting beauty of blossom amongst the hustle and bustle of the city. Paper copies of the trail map can be picked up at Castlefield Viaduct, selected locations at NOMA, libraries and local parks.

In addition to the 'Bloomtown' trail, there are over 20 free nature-inspired events planned throughout April. Those wanting to take part can book onto activities including guided walks and talks, traditional Japanese-inspired blossom arranging workshops and performances from the Bridgewater Hall Community Choir.

As well as highlighting the blossom that is already in and around Manchester, a pop-up blossom display has been installed at Sadler’s Yard by Plant NOMA. Twelve trees of different varieties of apple and cherry will provide a delicious source of nectar to pollinators like the worker
