Final Fantasy 7 25th Anniversary Livestream: Date, How to Watch, and More

Square Enix has announced that a celebration Livestream for the 25th Anniversary of Final Fantasy 7 will be taking place this week. 

Many fans are hoping to get a glimpse of Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Part 2. While fans may be hoping for information on the long-awaited Remake: Part 2, it’s worth noting that Square Enix has several active spin-offs of the original PlayStation RPG, and could just be presenting fresh information about those. 

The First Soldier and the upcoming mobile RPG Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis are two more Final Fantasy 7 games, but the announcements could be completely unrelated to the games, similar to the recently leaked clothing line reveal. 

Further spin-offs are also in the works, Square Enix’s Director noted that there will be even more new Final Fantasy 7 projects that started after the remake coming in the future too. Here’s what GiveMeSport knows about the anniversary event.

The stream will take place on Square Enix’s YouTube and Twitch accounts on Thursday 16th June 2022 at 3 pm Pacific / 6 pm Eastern / 11 pm UK (so Friday 17th June 2022 at 9 am AEDT).

Tetsuya Nomura, Director of Square Enix said that this milestone marks a turning point in Final Fantasy 7’s development, and the team is looking forward to even bigger things in the future.

Although Remake: Part 2 was revealed to be in full development in July 2020, Square Enix has remained tight-lipped about the sequel.
