Fifteen suspects charged after eight-month investigation into alleged drugs gangs in Miles Platting and Beswick
Fifteen people have been charged after an investigation into alleged drugs gangs in Manchester. Operation Comanche was launched by GMP in July last year and involved undercover officers.
The operation was to investigate the alleged supply of class A drugs to Manchester's homeless people. A series of dawn raids were carried out this week.
Those charged are: Dean Ward, 31, of Marcer Road Miles Platting, charged with supplying controlled drug, class B, cannabis, and supplying class A drugs, heroin and crack cocaine. James O'Leary, 36, of Millway Bank, Miles Platting, charged with supply class A drugs, heroin and crack cocaine. Lisa Owen, 38, of Langport Avenue, Longsight, charged with supplying class A drug, crack cocaine.

Joshua Birkett, 31, of Maybury Street, Gorton, charged with supplying class A drugs, heroin and crack cocaine; and possession with intent to supply crack cocaine. Frankie Partington, 19, of Oldbury Close, Miles Platting, charged with supplying class A drugs, heroin, and crack cocaine.
George Wimbleton, 34, of Barbeck Close, Miles Platting, charged with supplying, class B drug, cannabis. Leon Vertigan, 18, of The Croft, Castleford, charged with supplying class A drugs, heroin and crack cocaine. Frank Allen, 30, of Broomfield Road, Blackpool, charged with supplying class A drug.
George Downing, 26, of Sunnyside Road, Droylsden, charged with supplying class A drug, crack cocaine. Aaron Downing, 29, of Yeoman Walk, Beswick, supply of class A drug, crack cocaine, possession with intent to supply class B drug, cannabis, and acquire/use/possession of criminal property.
