FIFA 23: What is the Release Date?

The release date for FIFA 23 has now been released! Find out when you can get your hands on the new title below.

Questions were raised regarding the recent trademark by EA Sports of “EA Sports FC“, which many thought could have been the new title of the next game depending on what happens with the current deal with the governing body. It means that the gaming giants, and FIFA, part ways, in a partnership they have shared since 1994.

Under the titles new name, it will definitely take fans of the series away from their comfort zone with the franchise being represented under EA’s banner alone, which raises questions about how the game would look as far as licensing and authenticity are concerned.

Because of this, there was certainly already intrigue regarding if FIFA 23 or EA Sports FC 23 would happen – but EA has fully confirmed that FIFA 23 is going to be the name of the next title, but will also be the last ever of the ‘FIFA’ franchise.

We now know that FIFA 23 will be released officially for all on the 30th September 2022.

However, this is the release date for the legacy edition. If you want to get your hands on the game early, you can in fact order the Ultimate Edition and play three days prior to the official launch on the 27th September 2022.

Following previous years, FIFA fans can also gain a 10-hour trial for the game through an EA access subscription – which should go live a week before launch on the 23rd of September, however, this hasn’t yet been confirmed.
