FIFA 23 sticks Celtic twist on Rangers team as Ibrox fans teased over potential 'boycott' of game

During the international break there has been plenty of talking points with Scotland surging towards Nations League success. However, some Rangers and Celtic fans have remained focused on club matters.

Specifically, the upcoming release of FIFA 23 has got the debate going among the punters with the ratings of the Glasgow giants raising some eyebrows. Rangers skipper James Tavernier has been crowned the best player in the Scottish Premiership by the game developers with a 78 overall rating as he came in above his Celtic counterpart Callum McGregor who was handed a 77.

However, the talking points don't stop there with some fans raising concerns over the use of the famous Celtic pre-match huddle by the Rangers team in FIFA. It has become known as the pre-match ritual of the Hoops led by the Parkhead captain, but the creators have also handed it to Gio van Bronckhorst 's in-game team in the early release of the edition.

It typical Scottish fashion, that has led some Celtic fans to wind up the Ibrox support. One joked on social media that the Ibrox faithful will be "away to play PES now" while another claimed there would be a "boycott" of the game from Rangers on Twitter.
