FIFA 23: Leak indicates huge chemistry overhaul on Ultimate Team

FIFA 23 will be out later this year, which means leaks have already been circulating as to what new features will be featuring – with one bold leak claiming that chemistry will be receiving a huge overhaul in Ultimate Team.

Ultimate Team has been the FIFA franchise’s main cash cow since its introduction in FIFA 09. The concept involves building a team of players from all the leagues around the globe to create your ‘Ultimate Team’. This means that players can create sides beyond their wildest dreams, featuring players that have never crossed paths in real life such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski – for example.

However, their are limitations. Chemistry has been in Ultimate Team since its birth, and involves having only players linked via their nation or league, meaning you have to get creative in how you build your squad. The chemistry system has majority remained the same with some minor tweaks over the years, but a leak has suggested that in FIFA 23, chemistry will be getting a major overhaul.

According to FIFA trader WeaverImBMW4er, chemistry will be replaced by ‘Stars’ in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, with teams able to get up to three ‘Stars’.
