FIFA 23: Chelsea star Mason Mount brutally pranked over ratings

FIFA 23 has already taken the internet by storm as avid fans clammer for their first taste of the new game.

The blockbuster franchise, which has dominated the football gaming market for over two decades now, released its latest addition at the end of September.

The build-up to the release has been massive, with EA drip feeding fans and pro gamers alike statistics and gameplay hints.

For the professional megastars that will dominate the game, it is always fun to see how they are rated and how they match-up to their contemporaries.

EA use a vast grouping of individual metrics to apply a rating to a player as they look to cover every single base and be as accurate as possible.

However, with players always eager to find out the ratings, it does open the door for some witty skulduggery among teammates.

Mason Mount was the victim of just such a prank as his Chelsea colleagues saw to it that he was shown a fake rating card, showing some frightfully underwhelming statistics.

Mount has become a mainstay in the Chelsea line-up and shown regular and impressive improvement in the famous blue shirt.

So when the Englishman, who was being filmed for FIFA 23 promotional content, was ushered into a room where he was shown his card, to say he was a little unimpressed would be a gross understatement.
