Fewer touches than Fabianski: West Ham dud who lost 85.7% duels let Moyes down today - opinion

West Ham United recorded a major scalp over a rival in the quest for European football in Wolves, with David Moyes’ side winning 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.

Tomas Soucek’s second-half goal separated the two sides at The London Stadium as the Hammers climbed to fifth in the Premier League table whilst Wolves remain eighth.

The winger made just 30 touches during the entire game, four fewer than goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski, and lost the ball on ten occasions, losing the ball every three touches.

Moreover, there was little in the final third from Bowen, with his only shot of the game being recorded as a big chance missed whilst failing to complete a single dribble and producing just one key pass.

The former Hull City man also attempted to make just one cross all afternoon and didn’t attempt a single long ball whilst averaging a 67% passing accuracy.

There was little contribution at the back either, with the Englishman failing to make a single tackle, block or interception whilst making just one clearance.

Furthermore, the wide man failed to win a single ground duel out of an attempted four, winning just one of three attempted aerial duels, losing 85.7% of all
