Fetishist threatened to share pregnant mum's explicit photos and Gala Bingo bets after she dumped him

A jealous fetishist threatened to share 'revenge porn' of a mum after she ended their fling, a court heard.

Steven Potter first started speaking to his victim on the social media page Fetlife - a networking site for people 'interested in BDSM, fetishism and kink'. The pair had sent explicit photos to each other and met up for a meal, during which they shared a kiss.

But the woman ended their fling as she was pregnant with her second child with her boyfriend, Warrington Magistrates' Court was told. Warehouse worker Potter was so furious about this, he threatened to send nude pictures of her to her work colleagues, friends and family.

The 31-year-old, from Penketh in Warrington, also sent the victim sick messages about her unborn baby. One said: 'Fingers crossed you lose the baby. You don't deserve it.'

Another message sent by Potter, referring to his victim's partner, said: 'You are both as bad as each other. Hope your baby dies and both of you f*****g rot'.

The woman called police after becoming afraid of Potter. She told the court: "It has made me afraid to stay alone in my own house with my child and I had to take measures in case he turned up. I lived in fear that my partner or myself would receive further messages. ‘The stress that it has caused me made me fear that I would lose my current pregnancy."

Potter pleaded guilty to stalking and threatening to disclose private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress. He was spared jail but banned from contacting the woman under the terms of a two-year restraining order.
