Festy Ebosele sends two-word message to Derby County supporters ahead of Peterborough United clash

Derby County will have one eye on this evening’s relegation six pointer between Peterborough United and Reading.

The Posh travel to Pride Park on Saturday in what is set to be a huge week for Darren Ferguson’s men’s survival bid.

The Rams suffered a humbling 4-1 defeat at Middlesbrough at the weekend after their momentum-building victory over Hull City in midweek.

Lee Buchanan has been a very exciting young contributor to the side in the last year or two but struggled to show his best performance level against one of the form teams in the division.

Another figure of hope coming through the club’s youth setup is Festy Ebosele, and the 19-year-old took to Instagram to share his thoughts ahead of this weekend’s fixture.

He wrote: “Saturday ready.”

With some aspects progressing off the pitch, Saturday provides an opportunity for the Rams to firmly strengthen their chances of achieving survival this season.

Depending on the result at London Road this evening, the task could become more difficult ahead of the weekend with the Royals having the chance to build a commanding five point cushion on the relegation zone.

The Verdict

A draw or a Peterborough win would be the preferred results watching on tonight from a Derby County point of view.

Wayne Rooney will prepare his team the same either way for the weekend’s encounter, though it would be a blow for the Rams if the Royals were to build some momentum on their travels.

Ebosele dropped to the bench at The Riverside as Rooney attempts to manage his playing time to ensure he does not suffer an injury.

The 19-year-old was introduced at half time though with the Rams already trailing to a 3-1 scoreline.

Anything but a win on Saturday
