Festy Ebosele makes Serie A debut against AC Milan
Festy Ebosele became the fourth Irishman to play in Serie A when he came off the bench during Udinese's opening-day defeat against defending champions AC Milan.
The Wexford native was introduced with seven minutes remaining at the San Siro and was yellow-carded in injury-time for a foul on former Liverpool forward Divock Origi.
Ebosele, who joined Udinese on a five-year deal from Derby, is the first Irishman to play in Serie A since Robbie Keane in 2000.
The 20-year-old was joined on the bench by fellow Republic of Ireland underage international James Abankwah, who was an unused substitute.
Udinese took a surprise lead inside 90 seconds but Milan recovered to claim a 4-2 victory, with Ante Rebic netting twice.
